Established in 1981, Centre Service Ltd began as a home-run husband and wife team, offering a machinery maintenance service to the garment finishing sector.

The company's expansion began in 1987 when Pantex of Holland approached Managing Director Richard Brown with an agency offer. Further growth came in 1993 when Centre Service Ltd became an agent for Camptel of Italy.
This enabled the company to offer an extensive range of machinery in addition to the long established maintenance service.

Although still very much a family concern the company has long outgrown its modest beginnings, and now occupies a three-storey building in the centre of Castleford. One thing that has never changed, however, is the strong emphasis on customer care. Centre Service Ltd has always recognised it's customers as individual, with individual needs.

It is this ability and willingness to relate to the customer that has given Centre Service an impressive reputation for providing solutions to those with finishing problems. Indeed, Centre Service Ltd's development of The Castleford System of garment finishing orginated as a solution to one customer's problem, and has now progressed into a versatile pressing system, capable of finishing a wide range of garments.
